Booking Terms, Conditions and Policies (Booking Direct)
We guarantee our rates are the best rates available with our 10% offer when booking with us direct. Enter the code (10% off) in the comments field when you book.
Bookings must be made with a debit or credit card to secure your room. No advance payment is taken from your card, although we reserve the right to pre-authorise your card to check on its validity.
Customers pay at time of check out unless asking us to do so in advance.
You must be aged 18 years or over to make a booking with us and you must be aged 18 years or over to stay alone.
Check-in times are between 14:00 hrs. & 22:30 hrs. Check-in outside of these times is possible by prior arrangement. The check-out time is by 10:30 hrs. on the day of departure but may be extended until 11:30am for an additional charge and with prior arrangement. Luggage may be dropped off before check-in time.
Free cancellation is available until 12 noon 24 hrs. prior to the date of arrival. If you cancel your booking after this time then the cost of the first night’s reservation will be charged to the credit/debit card made to secure the booking. If you need to cancel your booking more than 24 hours prior to arrival then providing we receive written confirmation either by email or letter & we confirm the cancellation to you, then no charge will be made. We would recommend that guests purchase suitable holiday / cancellation insurance to cover for this eventuality.
To amend your Booking, please contact us either by email or telephone. If you amend your booking after 12 noon 24 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time on the date of arrival, and as a result you cancel any room night with less than 24 hours’ notice you will be charged for the cost of the first night’s reservation.
We operate a strict non-smoking policy throughout our establishment. As a condition of booking, if it is found that a guest has been smoking within any room then a charge of £50 (fifty pounds sterling) will be charged to the credit or debit card used in the initial booking, this charge will be used to cover cleaning costs & any loss of income should the room not be able to be re-sold immediately after departure.
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests.
Bookings made for the purpose of drinking/stag/hen nights
We reserve the right to refuse any bookings, where it is found to be for ‘stag’ / ‘hen’ or similar parties. There will be no liability on us to find you alternative accommodation should we cancel your stay.
All keys and fobs issued to you must be returned to us at the time of check out, any keys not returned or that have been lost will result in a charge of £35 per set to be charged to the credit or debit card used to secure the booking.
There is a small public car park to the corner of the hotel. Free parking permits are available at reception. Permits are also valid in all the residential street parking in this immediate area. Free weekly permits are available for those wishing to leave their car for longer and returning to Carlisle at the end of their holiday.
All our bedrooms are on the first floor and accessed by one main staircase. There is no lift. There are also steps that lead down to the restaurant for breakfast. We can often allocate guests a bedroom that offers easier access closest to the main stairs, and offer breakfast in our residents dining area so please contact us in advance if required so we can arrange this for you. We are also more than happy to help with luggage to and from the carpark and to/from your room.
We are happy to accept children of all ages and can provide travel cot and highchair on request.
