Rachel & Martin welcome you to a relaxing stay in their charming Victorian hotel where guests will be assured of a warm and friendly reception.

This cosy small hotel was built in 1880’s, and is in the Stanwix part of the city where the Romans had a command headquarters for 1,000 cavalry and so we literally have our foundations on Hadrian’s Wall.

We are conveniently located for exploring the beautiful English Lake District, Eden Valley, the Scottish Borders and Hadrian’s Wall.

We welcome cycling, walking and golfing groups and for those of you just wanting to get away from it all, then take advantage of our special offers for short breaks, available throughout the year.
